£20m Funding Fuels Electric Vehicle Innovations
The Niche Vehicle Network (NVN) is pleased to announce that their Collaborative R&D Competition is now open for applications. This competition forms part of the £20m funding launched last week by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) for innovative, zero emission electric vehicle and infrastructure projects. The competition streams are:
1. EV Challenge
Innovative Charging to accelerate the development of innovative off board electric vehicle charging solutions in the UK that are directly applicable to on-road, zero emission UK niche electric vehicles in order to promote increased take-up and improve user experience. The consortium must already have established technical feasibility of their concept, and now aims to develop and produce a proof of concept of first prototype.
Early Stage Research and Development (Proof of concept) to accelerate the development of innovative off board electric vehicle charging solutions in the UK that are directly applicable to on-road, zero emission UK niche electric vehicles in order to promote increased take-up and improve user experience. The consortium must already have established technical feasibility of their concept, and now aims to develop and produce a proof of concept of first prototype.
2. Late Stage R&D (Production Readiness)
To accelerate the development of innovative off board electric vehicle charging solutions in the UK that are directly applicable to on-road, zero emission UK niche electric vehicles in order to promote increased take-up and improve user experience. The consortium must already have established technical feasibility of their concept, and now aims to develop and produce a proof of concept of first prototype.
Applications & Deadline
Please note that applications can only be submitted online through our Funding Gateway which also contains guidance on how to apply, with links to provide help if required. The gateway is open to all NVN members. You can register to become a member for FREE here.
The deadline for bid submissions is 5pm, Thursday 15th April, 2021.
