We’ve found that the North of England is more critical about the state of roads over the last decade than anywhere else in the UK, with most manufacturers wishing to see the repair of motorways and A roads prioritised in future Government plans on infrastructure.
Firms would also like to see Government put more emphasis on the benefits of investment, rather than the initial costs, as well as speed up planning processes and investment in local public transport to improve connectivity between young people and their jobs in manufacturing.
