FREE support for Suffolk businesses to reduce costs and emissions

Suffolk’s local authorities are working together with Groundwork East to help organisations understand their carbon footprint, reduce energy costs and emissions, and access grant funding.

The service is available to any business located within Suffolk, including social enterprises, and is fully funded by UK Government.

The sustainable business team will work with organisations to:

• Calculate and understand your carbon footprint
• Identify actions to reduce your emissions and energy costs
• Create a decarbonisation plan
• Signpost to grant funding opportunities and further support

Over 150 Suffolk businesses have already benefited from our FREE support, with many of these going on to receive carbon reduction grants to implement cost and carbon saving measures.

Public sector and private sector clients and customers are increasingly requiring the businesses they work with to be managing and reducing their environmental impacts – a recent survey found that 46% of UK organisations have been asked for their carbon data by customers or tender applications.

And there are some great tender opportunities opening up right now – including the Sizewell C supply chain – which require contractors to have a carbon reduction plan in place.
