See the UK’s largest second-life battery energy storage system

What: Tour of battery energy storage system, made entirely from second-life batteries

Where: Cranfield University, Bedford, England

When: Tuesday 7th June 11 – 3 pm

How: Apply by email to info@c-e-int.com Places are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

The tour will provide a perfect opportunity to learn first-hand what a BESS can offer, and the steps involved in installing and operating one.

Cranfield University’s recently installed system allows the site to balance its energy behind the grid, accommodate a newly enlarged solar farm and an air source heat pump on the district heating to reduce reliance on the gas-combined heat and power system (CHP).

Any one of these applications may be of interest to facility or energy managers, plus of course the fact that any site with an energy bill of over £100,000 a year will save money with a BESS.
