New UK Import Controls & Changes to Rules of Origin in 2022

Doing business with Europe has changed. The UK has left the Single Market and Customs Union and new rules now apply.

Full border controls on imports of most goods from the EU to the UK will be introduced from 1 January 2022. Imports from the EU will be subject to the same requirements as apply to goods imported from the rest of the world. Manufacturers must adhere to the guidance outlined in the UK Border Operating Model.

Additionally, UK companies exporting goods into the EU will have to complete paperwork certifying their goods locally made, under rules of origin from 1 January 2022.

Join this webinar for an overview directly from the UK Government department responsible for delivering the UK Border Operating Model. Explaining what the requirements are from the 1 January 2022 and what steps you should be taking to prevent any issues when trading with the EU.

You will leave with a broad overview of the policy and an understanding of the practical and technical implications for GB manufacturers. The session will conclude with an opportunity to ask questions of our expert panel.
