National Manufacturing Day – Open your doors to the community

I am delighted to share with you details of the third National Manufacturing Day (NMD) which will take place on Thursday 26 September 2024. Industry trade body Make UK is spearheading the campaign and once again are inviting every manufacturing company across the UK to take part in this national day of celebration. The idea is simple – you just have to invite a section of the local community into your business. Showcasing first-hand the breadth of diverse and well-paid career opportunities on offer to either school, colleges, friends & family, local job seekers.

Last year we rallied 16 manufacturing members to open up their factory doors to local schools, colleges and universities – over 400 students and staff we able to explore careers paths into to the sector and businesses were able to bust myths around the Manufacturing Sector locally!

NAAME are able to connect you with local schools or colleges directly and help support and coordinate the event. One of our many manufacturers who supported last year are happy to chat with any interested businesses to understand what activities they did throughout the day.
