Job Fair ay HMP Bure

The job fair is being held at HMP Bure on Tuesday 18th February from 09:30-11:30, we are inviting attendees to arrive at Bure from 09:00 to allow time to escort them to the gym an arrange their stalls accordingly, obviously we are unable to allow phones/tablets or any prohibited technology into the establishment however leaflets, business cards are allowed.

HMP Bure have previously held resettlement job fairs, inviting various sector employers and resettlement support agencies. Prisoners who are within 12/18 months of their release are invited to intend and interact with the agencies/employers to raise any questions they may have, any concerns or myth busting that they have heard when it comes to being released from prison.

This also provides employers the opportunities to meet with prisoners, build relationships with us as resettlement team who would work together supporting prison leavers back into the community.

It also provides employers the opportunities to promote careers within their organisation or give advice to prisoners who are interested in working in the engineering and manufacturing sector for example. Prisoners may want to pursue a career in the relevant sector however have no experience, advice can be given by employer attending on what kind of qualifications they can work to achieve whilst in custody in regard to improving their employability prior to release.
