Industry 4.0 – The Digital Factory – Professional short course

The National Centre for Food Manufacturing are hosting a fully funded Industry 4.0 – The digital factory, professional short course to support businesses in the food and drink sector.

The course is funded by the Institute of Technology’s In-work Skills Pilot.

This 3 day course is intended for employees of food manufacturing businesses in the UK and is aimed at first level managers.

This course will be delivered online and includes:

1) IIOT – Industrial Internet of Things

• Digital manufacturing

• Intelligent Control Systems

• Industry 4.0 and emerging technologies

• Industrial Control Systems

• Industrial digitalisation

2) Principles of Software, Programming and Control Systems

• PLC, SCADA, Field Programme Gate Alley

• Applications and examples of Embedded Systems

3) Use of Control Systems to support manufacturing

4) Improving existing Manufacturing systems with product feedback data
