200 EoE Manufacturing Leaders join annual conference
In early July, the annual NAAME Conference saw a fantastic turnout of over 200 manufacturing, engineering and tech leaders from across the East of England coming to West Suffolk College to find out more about Digitalisation in Manufacturing.
The conference was expertly hosted by Kate Willsher and David Lott from the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) and was introduced by Jamie Thums MBE and Katy Davies, the NAAME Chair and Deputy Chair.
There were talks from exemplar industry leaders including Matthew Aldridge from Igus UK, Edward Barlow from Photocentric and then the Future Sector Trends Panel with Dug Harrison from Nuclear AMRC, Peter Brady from Orbital Global Group, Vito Matteo Di Pietro from TWI and Mads Nielsen from TECOSIM UK.
After lunch there were a number of keynote speeches from Eman Martin-Vignerte from Bosch and Vincent Morton from Siemens before the event concluded with businesses being able to join two workshops:
– navigating the funding landscape with Innovate UK Business Growth, New Anglia Growth Hub and CPCA Growth Hub
– digital needs assessment & low-cost technology solutions with the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM)
The feedback from the event from those who attended has been overwhelmingly positive – with eyes already turning to next year’s event.
