ICAEW London and East Economic Summit

As we approach the halfway point of 2022, it is paramount to reflect on how heavily our lives and businesses continue to be impacted by current crucial business issues including inflation, supply chain limitations, labour market shortages and the levelling up agenda—allowing us the opportunity to examine the risks that organisations face as well as the opportunities available.

We will start the summit with a high-level discussion from our keynote speakers, which will include;

  • Anna Leach, Deputy Chief Economist at CBI
  • Huw Pill, Chief Economist at the Bank of England

We are delighted to announce that our plenary session will be hosted by Journalist & news Presenter Krishnan Guru Murthy. Our keynote speakers will share their views at a national and regional level before breaking into local panel groups. Here panellists will examine the economic landscape of the locality and the key risks /opportunities unique to the county utilising key themes that align with the latest ICAEW Business Confidence Monitor™ research. After each panellist has introduced themselves, the Chair will pose questions to generate ideas for the future economic prosperity of the locality and take questions from the audience via the chat facility.
